1. Purpose of creation

1) What is the creation for? = Two Kingdoms (heavenly kingdom and earthly kingdom)
 Genesis 1: 1 God created the heaven and the earth = "In the beginning, God created the heavenly kingdom and the earthly kingdom", It can be understood.
  There is no doubt that Moses gives the name of heaven and earth to that confused mass which he, shortly afterward, (ver.2,) denominates waters. The reason of which is, that this matter was to be the seed of the whole world. (Calvin)

2) What are the basic elements of the kingdom?       
     King, people, territory.

 2. God as King

 When the covenant arrives, God will show him. God is blessed, the only Sovereign,  King of kings and Lord of lords (1 Tim. 6:15).

 1) When the covenant arrives, God will show His appearing. = God will show His appearing when it is appointed. Revelation 1: 8. = The appearing of the Lord is the same yesterday, today, and forever.
  At any time and day, even when Jesus appears, we must strive to keep ourselves from being tainted by sin so that we may gladly receive the Lord (Matthew 24: 37-51).

 2) God is blessed = God gives blessing to those under His sovereignty as sources of blessing. Jesus Christ was given to the earth as the reality of the blessing.

 3) The only Sovereign: God alone is the absolute sovereign of this earth, the one, and only God, and God is the source of power, the Almighty God, which is never impossible.

 4) King of kings and Lord of lords: We can clearly see from the history of the four great empires that God is the king of kings and Lord of lords. 
  Ex) At that time, the Roman emperor was the king of kings who reigned over the divisional kings of each region, also called the Master, and reigned like a god with absolute sovereignty. Yet even such a Roman emperor was subdued under God's rulership and was appointed kings by the pope, It was shown in history that God alone is King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

3. King's owned people

 1) Life for God's Glory

 A. Life for the Lord
Romans 14: 7 For none of us lives to himself alone and none of us dies to himself alone.
Romans 14: 8 If we live, we live to the Lord; and if we die, we die to the Lord. So, whether we live or die, we belong to the Lord.
Romans 14: 9 For this very reason, Christ died and returned to life so that he might be the Lord of both the dead and the living.
  None of us live for ourselves. We must live our lives as His owned people because we must exist for God's glory. Therefore Christians no longer have a life goal for themselves.
1Co.6:19 Do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own;
1Co.6:20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your body. 
1Co.3:17 If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him; for God's temple is sacred, and you are that temple.

2) The lives of the people to be honored

  Ps.16:3 As for the saints who are in the land, they are the glorious ones in whom is all my delight.

  A. Living as an inheritor of the kingdom of God
 Romans 8:17  Now if we are children, then we are heirs--heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ, if indeed we share in his sufferings in order that we may also share in his glory.
 Galatians 3:29 If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. 
 1 Peter 1: 4 and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade--kept in heaven for you,

  B. Life as an Honor and Glory
 Ps16: 2  I said to the LORD, "You are my Lord; apart from you I have no good thing."
 Ps16: 3 As for the saints who are in the land, they are the glorious ones in whom is all my delight.
  There is no blessing except the Lord: there is not indeed a source of true happiness except God, the Creator and Host of all things, and the God who gives good to all those who trust in Him. It is a confession of faith.
  Honorable (Hebrew "hema"): Not physically rich, but spiritually rich, those who will receive honor and glory from God.

 C. The life of peace and glory gave by the Lord
  John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
  John 17:22 I have given them the glory that you gave me, that they may be one as we are one:
  John 17:24 "Father, I want those you have given me to be with me where I am, and to see my glory, the glory you have given me because you loved me before the creation of the world.

3)  People of True Hope

A. A life without discouragement
   2 Corinthians 4:16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 4:17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.
   2 Corinthians 4:16 Reason for not lose heart:  In verse 1 Therefore, since through God's mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. In verse 14   because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you in his presence. In verse 16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 
  Paul feels that the outer man is wasting away and decay because of endless hardships and toils, while the inner man feels daily renewal, as if the seeds sprouted, bursting with new shoots (1 Cor. 15: 41-44).

 B. A life that desires forever
 2 Corinthians 4:18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal. 
   Paul hoped for the invisible, eternal kingdom of God: Rom 8:24 For in this hope we were saved. But hope that is seen is no hope at all. Who hopes for what he already has? So that he could fulfill his mission without being discouraged in the tribulation of this world (Rom. 8:18).
